I, Cyborg: An interview with Prof Kevin Warwick

Excellent series of interviews from BCS with Prof. Kevin Warwick, a pioneer in human computer interface and pretty much the only cyborg that I have ever met. I went to a fascinating lecture by Prof. Warwick courtesy of ARUP when I was in Bristol ten years ago. He had just had an RFID tag implanted that could communicate with the computer at the university to open doors automatically for him on campus, amongst other things. We were privileged to go out for dinner with him and his wife and at the lecture he demonstrated the cybernetic link he had made with an implant that allowed him to control a robotic arm in Japan from his lab by moving his own arm via a neural implant. The future is here. I want an implant that allows me to watch Breaking Bad in my head whilst I’m at work in another boring meeting……..
